Участники WEi поделились мыслями о своем дебюте в новой группе

5 октября WEi провели онлайн-шоукейс по случаю своего дебюта и выпуска первого мини-альбома группы «IDENTITY: First Sight» с заглавным треком «TWILIGHT».

WEi – первая мужская группа, созданная агентством OUI Entertainment. Название группы означает: «Мы одно целое. Мы будем создавать свою собственную музыку». В состав WEi входят Дэхён и Донхан из второго сезона Produce 101, Ёхан и Сокхва из Produce_X101, а также Ёнха и Джунсо из Under 19. Дэхён был участником группы Rainz, Донхан – JBJ, Ёхан – X1, а Ёнха и Джунсо – 1THE9.

Когда их спросили об ощущениях от возможности дебютировать, Ёхан, ссылаясь на тот факт, что все мемберы WEi участвовали в программах на выживание, сказал: «Нам потребовалось много времени, чтобы создать WEi. Я думаю, что смогу показать гораздо больше интересного в группе с такими хорошими друзьями. Это потому, что мы хорошо знаем друг друга».

Сокхва поделился: «Я думаю о том, что наконец-то дебютирую. Мы все хотим быстрее почувствовать волнение от выхода на сцену». Ёнха признался: «Джунсо и я присоединились к группе позже остальных, поэтому я был взволнован, узнав, что смогу дебютировать с WEi. Возможность работать с такими замечательными участниками одновременно воодушевляет меня и успокаивает». Джунсо добавил: «Я также волновался, как и Ёнха. Прочитав статью, в которой говорилось, что мы станем одним целым, мне было так любопытно, как отреагируют фанаты, что я не мог выпустить телефон из рук».

Авторами заглавного трека для новой группы стали Flow Blow и Хвитэк из PENTAGON, а лидер WEi Дэхён также участвовал в написании лирики. «TWILIGHT» — это поп-трек с элементами R&B. В нем говорится о счастливом финале и достижении самой яркой звезды, сияющей в сумерках.
